I think one of the biggest advantages of using the Lava system is offering patients the metal-free restorations. Having grown up with gold and metal ceramics for many of my years, I underestimated how much people want to see a tooth-like restoration in their mouth.

It is very common now when I place a Lava restoration, the people then look at their previous bonded metal restorations and are actually questioning why I used that technology. I think one of the other advantages of Lava is the fact that the fit is second to none. I’m using a good laboratory and together with that Lava core we’ve been getting great results. Esthetically, but also technically, the fit is very good.
